Critters Interactive Animal Encounters

  • Holden Clough Nurseries Holden, Nr. Bolton-by-Bowland Clitheroe, England, BB7 4PF United Kingdom (map)

Tuesday 18th February, 14.00pm - 15.30pm

£12.99

The last time we ran this workshop, it completely sold out and was a huge success, so we have invited them back!

Join us this February half-term to get up close and interactive with a range of native and exotic reptiles, cool amphibians & unusual bugs from Critters Interactive.

Not only will you learn all about the ‘critters’ that are brought in, but those who wish to can get a chance to hold many of them too.

There’ll be ample time for questions to our bug expert, Mike Potts, as well as photo opportunities and even an ‘Animal Handling’ certificate to take away and be proud of.

Tickets are extremely limited as we need to ensure the welfare of the animals and not overcrowd them or the space.

Meet your host…

Mike Potts of Critters Interactive has worked with exotic animals for over forty years. He is the former Chief Executive of BeastWatch UK CIC, who also operated a national animal rescue service for exotic animals & wildlife, under the name National Exotics. He was with the organisation over 12 years & was instrumental in its development and success. Most of the animals he keeps as pets were either rescued or rehomed to him.

Mike will be hand-picking his choice of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates for this event, depending on which are good for that particular day.

When:

18.02.25 – 14.00pm - 15.30pm

Where:

Upstairs in The Potting Shed @ Holden Clough Nurseries

Ages:

6+

£12.99 per ticket.

Due to the nature of this event, it is strictly 6 years and over and children must be accompanied by one guardian.  There is no charge for the guardian.

Please note:

Handling of tarantulas & scorpions has an increased risk to anyone with a known hypersensitivity to bee/wasp stings - with a very similar venom response affecting the respiratory system.

There is a general risk of salmonella from any contact with any healthy reptile if effective hand hygiene is lacking. Hand sanitizer will be provided by Critters Interactive.
