Join pollinator-plant expert and author Maureen Little for this interesting and complimentary talk, to discover what plants are best for bees, butterflies, moths, and other insect pollinators.
She will share her knowledge, address frequently asked questions, and then you’ll have the opportunity to ask her anything you’d like about plants for pollinators, that hasn’t already been covered.
In the last half an hour, Maureen will host an optional meander around the Nursery, to go and point out popular pollinator plants.
You will also have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Maureen’s latest book ‘The Little Book of Plants for Pollinators: A Gardener’s Guide.’
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Maureen Little - author, writer, and speaker.
“I have been growing things, on and off, throughout my life. I say ‘on and off’ because there have been periods when I have strayed from the horticultural path to pursue things like serving in the Women’s Royal Naval Service, bringing up a family, lecturing in English Literature at University, and generally keeping out of mischief.
I started, though, knee-high to a grasshopper (or should it be bumblebee), helping my Dad on his market garden in Sussex – and, later in my career, after becoming a professional garden designer, and writing several books on gardening, I owned and ran my own plant center specialising in bee-friendly plants.
I am now semi-retired which gives me more time to give talks and take up writing again.”
